The Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary focus on the passion and suffering of Jesus Christ. They are traditionally prayed on Tuesdays and Fridays, and during the Lenten season, especially on Good Friday.
The Glorious Mysteries of the Rosary celebrate the triumph of Jesus Christ over death and the glory of Heaven. They are traditionally prayed on Wednesdays and Sundays (except during Advent and Lent).
The Luminous Mysteries—also known as the Mysteries of Light—were introduced by Pope St. John Paul II in 2002 to fill in the public ministry of Jesus between His Baptism and Passion. They are traditionally prayed on Thursdays
The Divine Mercy Chaplet is a powerful Christian devotion given by Jesus to St. Faustina Kowalska, a Polish nun, in the 1930s. It focuses on God’s infinite mercy and the redemption offered through the Passion of Jesus Christ.
It is prayed using regular Rosary beads, but the prayers are different from the traditional Rosary.
