St. Ann Santee Parish Council

The Parish Council serves as a vital advisory body to the pastor, providing spiritual guidance, leadership, and support in the mission of the parish. Composed of parishioners committed to faith and service, the council works to foster a vibrant parish life by promoting communication, encouraging participation, and helping guide the church’s pastoral and strategic direction.The council meets regularly to discuss parish needs, plan events, and support ministries that serve the spiritual and social wellbeing of our faith community. All members are dedicated to ensuring St. Ann remains a welcoming, faith-filled, and thriving parish for all.

Parish Council Meeting Key Highlights - April 24th

  • Latest Update: Our Columbarium Addition is expected to be delivered in early May

  • Diocese has changed position on allowing Parish stand-alone Columbarium's in Future. They will only be allowed on a Church Property that has a cemetery going forward. This does not affect our Columbarium.

  • A New Church Directory is scheduled to be done as part of our upcoming Parish's 100th Anniversary. Sign up for Pictures is the weekend of July 11th and Pictures are scheduled for August 15th. More detail to follow

  • Parish Hall now has a Big Screen TV system for Parish Ministry and Group use.

  • The building of the Blessed Mary Grotto Shrine has started. Donations are being graciously accepted toward this special 20th Anniversary Project.

  • There will be a Bereavement Mass for longtime parishioner Helen Klee on Tuesday, May 12th. Rosary at 10:30 and Funeral Mass @ 11 AM.

  • Hospitality Sunday (1st Sunday of the New Month) will now be presented on a rotating basis, sharing responsibility amongst the Men, Ladies and Cursillo Group going forward

  • The 5 Area Churches Harvest Hope Foodbank moving forward and Joe DiPaolo, a new Parishioner, has volunteered to accept the role of our Parish Foodbank Board Representative. More info to follow in days ahead

  • St Ann Feast Celebration will be on Friday July 24th with 5PM High Mass, New Grotto shrine blessing and Parish Community Evening Picnic Celebration

  • Announcements made at Church to Parishioners during Mass will now be made shortly before Mass service starts so that when Father looks to end Mass, the service is not interrupted

  • As our Parish continues to grow, we are Looking to establish a new Welcoming Committee for a more formal welcoming of new parishioners. Looking for Volunteers.

  • Outreach Committee change: Sandy Rolland has resigned her position, and Sherry Britton has volunteered to replace her. Thank you, Sandy, for your years of service in this important ministry. the 5 Members overseeing our Outreach Ministry are: Denny Masson, Paul Dashnaw, Tom Polidoro, Sherry Britton and Jamie Gray.
