The St. Ann Men's Association recently completed a successful roadside trash pickup along Highway 6, covering the stretch between Chapel Hill Baptist Church and The Oasis. The cleanup took place over two days—April 5 and May 17—and resulted in the removal of 72 bags of trash.
In addition to the bagged litter, volunteers also collected larger debris including car bumpers, tires, and various truck and car parts.
This effort was carried out in memory of Kristine Craver, a beloved member of St Ann, known for her love of nature and commitment to keeping it clean. Kristin often collected trash while kayaking on Lake Marion, regularly filling two bags during her trips. Her dedication continues to inspire those who knew her.
The St. Ann Men’s Association was honored to dedicate this project to her memory and plans to continue similar cleanups in the future.
Thank you to all who participated and helped make a positive impact on our community and environment.
